Please read the terms and conditions before our consultation. Please indicate that you have read and accepted them by completing the tick box within the sleep questionnaire which has been sent to you.

Disclaimer

Thank you for considering working with me. My support is not a substitute for medical, nutritional, lactation, psychological or therapeutic care and I do not offer counselling, diagnosis, treatment or any other type of medical care. It is also not a substitute for counselling, diagnosis, treatment or any other type of medical care. Please consult your doctor or other suitably qualified professional if you have any concerns regarding you or your child’s health.

Scope of practice

I am a holistic sleep coach and gentle sleep educator, by working with me you agree that we are consulting in regards to sleep and wellbeing alone. Any other concerns or queries should be addressed separately by an alternative practitioner.

When working together I will not give you a ‘to-do’ list or a schedule based solution. I will provide reassurance, support and education and information/suggestions that is/are age and developmentally appropriate for your child and work with you to seek to find a solution that is suitable for you and your family to improve sleep. I will take into consideration your individual family circumstances,  sleep goals, preferences, parenting style, beliefs and values and will use my ongoing training and support from the holistic sleep coaching program and my experience to educate, advise and make evidence based suggestions. It is your choice as to whether you decide to implement any techniques or suggestions I propose and you are responsible for committing to any changes you wish to make. 

By choosing to work with me, you agree that:

  1. You will work within the safe sleep guidelines relevant to your area.

  2. You will disclose any relevant medical issues related to your child that might have a bearing on sleep.

  3. You understand that safeguarding children is paramount and, therefore, if I am concerned for the welfare of your child for any reason, I have a duty to report this to the relevant health and/or safeguarding service in your local area. This will always be with your knowledge except in cases where the immediate safety of the child takes priority. 

  4. You understand that you will be providing certain personal details which are required to be kept  (please see privacy policy). All information will never be shared with any other third party unless otherwise agreed for individual reasons. 

  5. Once we have agreed to work together you will be sent an invoice and contract confirming the service that has been requested, the full amount to be paid, payment details, and details in relation to individual elements to be provided under the service. Your booking will not be fixed until payment is received and no work will commence, including pre-analysis or analysis of your sleep questionnaire/diary without payment in full. If no payment is made at the latest 48 hours prior to the agreed service date or following receipt of completed documents (whichever comes first) then we will need to rearrange to allow time for my pre-consult analysis and planning.  Sleep sense calls also require payment at the time of booking.

  6. Your sleep support is bespoke to you, and should not be shared with other third parties, as the information may not be relevant.

  7. In the case of a sleep sense phone call, this is not a substitute for a more comprehensive sleep package that involves the use of a sleep diary and an extended questionnaire. I will do my best to understand and troubleshoot your concerns with you following receipt of a shorter questionnaire completed by you. But please note I will not be analysing a full sleep diary or extended questionnaire or providing detailed recommendations or a follow up summary or document. Further support may be required, depending on the individual situation. 

  8. Any follow up support is generally only available within the hours of 9am - 8pm (GMT). I may be flexible with this at times but generally will not respond to contact outside of this. I will aim wherever possible to respond to any follow up contact within the same day. Follow up communication will generally be initiated by the customer in order for them to take the lead on when this is best suited. Any follow up telephone calls will be mutually agreed in previous communications. I will advise you when any follow up support is closing/expiring/ and additional support can be purchased if required. 

Guarantees

My service of support is designed to offer education about normal infant sleep, reassurance, support, and evidence based information to help improve and optimise your sleep situation. Every child and family situation is unique and I aim to provide bespoke guidance for your sleep circumstances.  With that in mind I am unable to and cannot guarantee a particular outcome or result, within a particular time frame. I will never advise you leave your child to cry, and will never use cry-it-out or controlled crying and will only recommend responsive techniques.

Equality and non-discriminatory practice

I promote an inclusive, non-judgemental service, and will not knowingly discriminate against anyone on the basis of their race, sexual orientation, parenting style, disability, cultural beliefs, marital status or religion. If there is anything you would like me to be aware of, please make this clear at the beginning of the consultation.

Cancellation / Refund policy

It is your right to cancel at any time prior to commencing if you do not feel that my services are right for you or your family. For cancellations/rescheduling made more than 48 hours before a consultation there will be no charge. For cancellations less than 48 working hours prior to the appointment, a 50% refund will be issued. If I have to cancel, I will offer an alternative appointment which will be mutually convenient to both parties.

If, after reading your sleep diary, I feel that a different approach with an alternate practitioner would be better suited to the situation, then I will issue a full refund. 

All services are completely non-refundable once commenced, from the point of initial consultation.

In the unlikely event of you having a complaint and feel unsatisfied with the service within the terms and conditions stated here, then please contact me directly at littlesleepguidelisa@gmail.com and we can aim to resolve this.

Confidentiality 

Due to the nature of sleep support, information gathering is involved in working together. Please be assured data is collected and stored in-line with data policies and all personal data and information will be kept completely confidential. 

I am fully insured through Westminster insurance.
